Screening Guidelines (Internal and External)

To ensure the quality and readiness of technologies for pitching, all submitted entries will undergo a screening process. Please review the following screening criteria before deciding to submit your entry.

Who Can Submit?

Submissions are welcome from:

  1. Researchers, faculty members, inventors, students, professionals, MSMEs, or individuals with a developed technology or innovation;
  2. Innovations focusing on AANR sector (Agriculture, Aquaculture, and Natural Resources);
  3. Technologies at proof-of-concept stage or higher (not raw ideas).

Screening Criteria (5-Point Scale Evaluation)

All submissions will be evaluated based on the following five (5) key criteria, each scored on a scale of 0 to 5, with 5 as the highest:

1. Problem Statement

  • The technology must address a clearly defined and relevant problem.
  • Higher scores are given to submissions with strong evidence and clear alignment with real-world needs.

2. Intellectual Property (IP) Status

  • IP status should be clearly declared.
  • Higher scores are awarded for granted patents, utility models, or other registered IP rights.

3. Technology Readiness Level (TRL)

  • Technologies must be at least at TRL 3 (Proof of Concept) to qualify.
  • Technologies at higher TRLs (e.g., prototype-tested or market-ready) will be prioritized.

4. Traction

  • Evidence of actual usage, revenue, external funding, pilot testing, or partnership commitment adds credibility.
  • The highest points are given for technologies that have already generated revenue.

5. Pre-Commercialization (Pre-Com) Documents

  • Participants are encouraged to prepare and submit documents such as market research (competitive study / comparative analysis), business analysis (or BMC), VPC, and ongoing customer support and feedback.
  • Submissions with complete documentation will receive higher scores.
