ABOUT the SUMMIT

Rationale

Caraga State University is proud to announce the 2nd LIKHA Summit, scheduled for October 28-31, 2024, at our Ampayon, Butuan City campus. The term “LIKHA,” meaning to create or develop, captures the essence of the university’s commitment to enhancing global competence. Built on the university’s core strengths—Talents, Assets, and Opportunities (TAO)—the LIKHA framework serves as follows:

  • Launchpad for Global Talents and Innovators
  • Interdependent and High-Impact Coalition
  • Knowledge, Co-Creation, and Technopreneurship
  • Hub for Academic Innovation
  • Advancement in Administrative Systems and Digital Transformation

Aligned with our vision to become a leading innovative and entrepreneurial institution, we are committed to implementing bold strategies and initiatives that focus on creating new value, developing meaningful solutions, and cultivating responsible stewards and leaders.

This year’s summit, themed “Innovating for a Sustainable Future: Research, Development, Innovation, and Extension in Practice,” emphasizes the integration of recent research, development, and innovative practices to foster sustainable progress. This highlights the practical application of these elements in real-world contexts, focusing on creating solutions that address current and future challenges. The theme underscores the importance of collaboration, continuous improvement, and the translation of knowledge into actionable outcomes that contribute to long-term sustainability across different fields.

The summit provides a unique opportunity for attendees to engage in meaningful discussions, participate in workshops and pitching events, and build partnerships that will drive future innovations and research initiatives. By bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders, the summit seeks to create a dynamic and inclusive environment that supports the advancement of sustainable development goals and the practical application of research and innovation.

We warmly invite individuals and organizations to join us at the 2nd LIKHA Summit. Be part of this important event and contribute to the movement towards a more sustainable and innovative future.
