In line with the government’s thrust to promote innovation, technology transfer, and entrepreneurship, there is a pressing need to create platforms that connect research-based innovations from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Mindanao with potential adopters, investors, and industry partners.

This activity—combining a pitching competition and a technology exhibit—aims to showcase market-ready and high-potential technologies developed by faculty researchers, students, and research teams from HEIs. The pitching component provides an avenue for technology developers to present the value, feasibility, and commercial potential of their innovations to a panel of evaluators and prospective investors. Meanwhile, the technology exhibit allows for greater public engagement, enabling stakeholders to interact directly with innovators, explore applications, and establish potential collaborations.

By bringing together academia, industry, government, and the investing community, the event seeks to accelerate the commercialization of locally developed technologies, contribute to the growth of the Mindanao innovation ecosystem, and strengthen the role of HEIs as catalysts for inclusive and sustainable economic development.
